Can God Lie

In this session we examine the question of whether or not God can lie. This is an important question that must not be answered lightly but must be considered as the question as well as the answer are at the very heart of the very first sin.

The bible says over and over again that it is impossible for God to lie, and some have taken that to mean it is a limitation, that there is something that God can't do... However, this is a flaw in their understanding of God, who He is, and the form, function, purpose or power of His spoken Word. Everything that exists does so as a result of His spoken word. If He speaks it, then it happens... regardless the it that He speaks, that thing manifests in our existence, there in it is impossible for Him to lie, for in the moment He speaks the thing, IT HAPPENS... He only speaks truth, because He defines truth as HE IS TRUTH.
