The Beverly Hillbillies tv show is an American sitcom that aired on CBS from September 26 of 1962, to March 23 1971. It had an ensemble cast featuring Buddy Ebsen, Irene Ryan, Donna Douglas, and Max Baer Jr. as the Clampetts, a poor backwoods family from the Ozark Mountains of Missouri who move to posh Beverly Hills, California after striking oil on their land.

In 1990, all the episodes of the first season entered the public domain in the United States because Orion Television, successor to Filmways, neglected to renew their copyrights.
