Family files suit in death

The family of a woman brutally murdered in her home, east of Beulah in Benzie County filed a federal lawsuit against the County and four Benzie County sheriff's deputies. Linda Henry, 72, was killed in February of 2022. Jeffrey Stratton was charged with one count of open murder in her death. He was found not guilty by reason of insanity. The lawsuit claims deputies violated Henry's right to equal protection under the law and that those violations contributed to her murder. David Barr Michigan News Source.
