Displaced Palestinians have been rushing to return to their homes in northern Gaza, after Israeli forces withdrew from the Netzarim Corridor.

The strip of land had been occupied throughout the war by Israeli soldiers.

There were long queues as families tried to cross only to find that their movement is still being impeded by checkpoints.
