Mark Vargas, the editor-in-chief of Illinois Review fills in for Roger Stone and discusses President Donald Trump’s full and unconditional pardon of former Ill. Gov. Rod Blagojevich, saying “he was set up by a lot of bad people.”

Vargas welcomes respected Chicago attorney and Democrat John Donovan to The StoneZONE, to discuss the unconstitutional law that Illinois legislators passed in 2009 banning Blagojevich from ever running for office in Illinois again. Donovan discusses how the presidential pardon opens the door for Blagojevich to legally challenge the law.

Vargas and Donovan also discuss why the Obamas and Illinois Democrats like Gov. JB Pritzker fear the former governor’s pardon.
