Defending CAIRO STATION! | Halo 2 Begins

After the events of Halo: Combat Evolved, Master Chief and Cortana linked up with Sergeant Johnson and other survivors in Halo: First Strike, gathering the rest of Blue Team and striking back against the Covenant before returning to Earth. Now, in the opening mission of Halo 2, we pick up as Master Chief is honored at an awards ceremony—only for a Covenant fleet to arrive and launch a full-scale assault on Earth’s defenses.

As the Covenant close in, we take the fight to them aboard Cairo Station, repelling enemy boarders and preventing them from disabling the massive orbital MAC guns defending the planet. With Cortana’s guidance, we navigate the station’s corridors, eliminate Covenant forces, and secure the bomb they intended to use against us—only to turn the tables in one of Halo 2’s most iconic moments.

This mission sets the stage for the battle to come, showing Earth is no longer safe from the Covenant’s wrath. The Great War has reached humanity’s home, and Master Chief is once again at the center of the fight.
