GOD'S PLANS AND WAYS VS. OURS

Tell me something my friends, and don't be afraid to be honest.

When have you felt disappointed with an experience?

How might God use this to teach you something about himself?

I think it's a natural fact guys, that we've all been through a disappointment or two in our time. We've been betrayed, let down, and had things go not the way we planned or designed, and it's a huge let down is it not? In the midst of all of it though, God has shown me His sovereignty, compassion, love, and care, and has also shown me that His ways and plans, are so much better than mine. It's a huge fact as Jennifer Benson Schult, this morning's devotional writer stated, that “Our plans and desires don't always match what God has in mind.” This is because as this morning scripture stated, His plans, thoughts, designs, and everything that He does, are so much better, because He's almighty God and knows what He's doing.

Tonight, my friends, I'd like to share some things that God has shown me from this particular passage of scripture, as well as other verses from God's word, on this very issue, through this vlog I'd like to share with all of you tonight, and I pray that what I share with you encourages you to see that God's plans and thoughts are so much better than yours could ever be. So, my friends, as I close this post with all of you tonight, I pray that with whatever obstacles, trials, difficulties, and yes even disappointments that you have faced or are facing right now, that you will bring them to the feet of the One who it's only in control, and all knowing, but that you can trust to handle all the disappointments of life. Remember guys, God does not think and act like we do, and we shouldn't expect it. God’s ways, plans, thoughts, and actions are beyond us, but they are all part of a loving and sovereign God who cares for both you and me. Remember as Jennifer stated, “It might be years before we're able to look back and trace God's influence through certain situations. For now, though, as we continue to reach out to the world in his name, we can remember that God is always powerfully at work (V.11).” This is a promise that we can count on and claim, and that's something that gives me hope.
