Sled Dog Race Returns

Seventeen teams are projected to start the UP200 Sled Dog Race Friday in Marquette. It’s the longest of three races this weekend and a qualifier for the Iditarod. Teams consisting of twelve sled dogs and a musher will trek across 228 miles of hills, creeks and isolated trails from Marquette to Grand Marais and back to Harvey. The race should conclude Sunday.
