Statement Regarding Tony Quigley and the September 2013 Hollow Pond Fires

I want to address something important and set the record straight. I previously linked Tony Quigley to the September 2013 Hollow Pond fires, and I now realize that I did so based on an assumption—one that I deeply regret. My reasoning was simple: he never outright denied it, which led me to believe there was truth to the connection. However, I acknowledge that assumptions aren’t proof, and I should have been more careful before making such a claim.

I feel terrible about this and want to make it clear that if it is proven he was not involved, I will issue a full, grovelling, and sincere apology. I wish I could take him at his word when he says it wasn’t him, but the unfortunate reality is that his credibility is in tatters, and nothing he says can be trusted. That said, I am committed to truth and fairness, and if the evidence exonerates him, I will make things right.
