Why are the Democrats Running in Fear?

Sen. Gary Peters of Michigan and now Sen. Tina Smith of Minnesota are resigning. When did Democratic senators voluntarily leave? Never! They stay for life until they pass away or they get defeated by a Republican.
Is it all part of Donald Trump's America First initiative?
