A nightmare under the thick ice of Nunavut, Baffin Island

Some one asked me the other day what my greatest fear was underwater. I couldn’t think of an animal or anything I wouldn’t want to see. I mean maybe humboldt squid 🦑, But the thought of a frozen surface with no way to breathe lingers somewhere in the back of my mind. Here is Kimi Werner trying to break the ice deep under the Arctic flow edge. This was so scary
