Tilda Swinton announces a break from acting at Berlinale

British actor Tilda Swinton, known for her often eccentric and quirky roles in both independent and blockbuster films, announced a hiatus from acting on Friday (February 14). Holding a press conference at the Berlin Film Festival the morning after collecting the event's honorary Golden Bear award in recognition of her long-running career, Swinton also said she had decided to attend in person to use the platform offered by the international cinema showcase.
