Man told police he would "convert to Muslim and blow up hospital"

A car crash victim taken to hospital for checks told police: "I will convert to Muslim and blow this whole f***king place up", a court heard. Tree surgeon Simon Codd, 27, crashed his newly-bought Peugeot 307 after offering four people a lift home in Bristol. He was taken to the city's Southmead Hospital in handcuffs but complained they were too tight and became abusive in the waiting room. Codd was filmed telling officers: "I will convert to Muslim and blow this whole f***king place up."
