RFK Jr.: 'NIH Profits from Vaccines While Ignoring Why Americans Are the Sickest in the World'

RFK Jr: "Individuals who work at NIH can collect royalties on drugs that they helped develop."

"So for example, the Moderna vaccine is 50% owned by NIH, and they were promoting that vaccine. They're getting billions of dollars from that vaccine... So this distorts everything."

"[NIH has] become an incubator for pharmaceutical products.... It's no longer studying why are Americans so sick. When my uncle was president, 6% of Americans had chronic disease. Today, 60% do... Why is this happening?"

"NIH's job is to find that out... and it won't look for it because it knows that there is some big company that is responsible for that. It's the pharmaceutical companies. It's the food or chemical companies."

"Why are we the sickest country in the world? Why has autism gone from one in 10,000 in my generation, to one in every 34 in my kids' generation? Why is one in every three kids diabetic or pre-diabetic? Why did peanut allergies suddenly appear in 1989?"

"Nobody has the answers to these questions. They're easy to answer... I'm going to say to [NIH], those are the questions we're going to answer now. We're going to figure out why we're the sickest country in the world."

"It's costing us $4.3 trillion a year. That's five times our military budget. And we can end it. We can end it overnight. We have to identify what's causing it."
