Moses greets Jethro by bowing, shachah in Hebrew, proskuneo in Greek, which shows that we cannot use this action to determine who God is without specific context. Moses listens to Jethro and establishes a tiered leadership infrastructure just before the people get the Ten Commandments. Loving God is equated with keeping His commandments, which we strive to do. We also delve into the New Testament context and applications of the Ten Commandments showing that the Torah continues to be valid and in force until the end of days.
