In this interview, I talk with Lis Smedegaard Andersen. Lis is a medical doctor, a rheumatologist, who lives in Denmark. On top of her medical degree, she got a PhD in immunology, because it is a fact that many of the chronic diseases of rheumatology are immune modulated. Lis says that she was different from many of her colleagues because she was always very holistically motivated and interested in the root causes behind her patientsโ€™ problems. Ultimately, though, it was her own health that got her interested in the topic of heavy metal toxicity.

After taking some bad advice from a toxicologist, Lis found herself with a terrifying case of acute mercury toxicity. She says that finding her way out of this situation was a matter of life and death.

With her scientific mind, and following a process of trial and error, Lis reports that she feels worlds better now. This will be a very interesting interview for all you people out there who are struggling with your biochemistry.
