"USAID Exposed: Billions Lost, Who’s Cashing In?"

The Department of the Office of the Inspector General (DOGE) has uncovered numerous instances of waste, fraud, and mismanagement within USAID-funded projects. Investigations have revealed that billions of dollars have been misallocated due to corruption, inefficiency, and lack of oversight. For example, DOGE has found contractors overbilling USAID, fraudulent use of foreign aid funds, and failed infrastructure projects where money was spent but little or no work was completed.

One notable case uncovered by DOGE involved massive waste in Afghanistan, where USAID spent millions on schools and clinics that were never used or collapsed due to poor construction. Another investigation found USAID funds being funneled into shell companies and corrupt organizations instead of reaching the intended recipients. In some cases, DOGE identified luxury spending by officials and contractors, including expensive travel, parties, and personal expenses disguised as aid work.
