‘Major political realignment’: NATO follows Trump request to boost defence spending

Sky News host Rita Panahi discusses NATO defence spending to be boosted after President Donald Trump’s request to up it to five per cent of GDP.

“Let’s talk a little bit about NATO, it is looking like a major political realignment is underway and it is a win for the Trump administration,” Ms Panahi said.

“European countries in the NATO alliance have agreed to step up their defence spending after President Trump’s request they increase the number to five per cent of GDP.”
