Avowed is DOA! Player Count Crumbles Ahead of Full Release!

Avowed failed to impress in its Early Access period. Topping out at 13,000 players is hardly a sign of a hit in the making for the once proud Obsidian Entertainment. The damage Matt Hansen, Art Director extraordinaire, did to the project might have resigned the game to its ultimate fate, or perhaps it was the inclusion of modern day-isms like pronouns in the bio for a Dragon Age: The Veilguard like character creator.

It could also be the buggy and uninspired gameplay that has made this game diminish in the eyes of gamers ahead of release. One thing is for certain, it's fighting an uphill battle to contend with Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 for biggest release of the month, as Warhorse Studios proudly announced 2 Million games sold for their sequel hit.
