Assassin's Creed Shadows CONFIRMED as Ubisoft's Final Hope

Everything rests on the shoulders of Assassin's Creed Shadows as to the future of Ubisoft. They are trying everything in the book to make this successful, up to and including diminishing the role of the highly controversial Yasuke. If you ignore the gameplay and plot for the Black not-Samurai, you can indulge in a girlboss Shinobi that will be far more historically accurate, I'm sure.

The most recent earnings call paints a depressingly dim picture of the once proud studio. Earnings are through the floor and every quantifiable metric has fallen off on the past year. Ubisoft promises to press forward, but lying to their investors has been revealed and at this point, it might be that they are too far gone and bankruptcy is the next call they end up making.
