Crypto Address

A crypto address is a unique identifier used for sending, receiving, or storing cryptocurrency on a blockchain. It consists of a string of alphanumeric characters that vary in length and format depending on the cryptocurrency. Each address is generated from a private key through cryptographic processes, ensuring security and ownership verification. When sending cryptocurrency, you input the recipient's address into your wallet, akin to an email address. Importantly, while addresses are public, the private key must be kept secret to prevent unauthorized access to the funds associated with that address.
