Kenshin's Ultimate Test: The Final Lesson Against His Master

After Hiko remembers how he met a young Kenshin, the training continues with the student passing the first test to learn the ogi by wounding his teacher. Hiko then teaches Kenshin a nine hit technique known as the Kuzu Ryu Sen capable of instantly killing any opponent. However, the only way to defeat Hiko's Kuzu Ryu Sen is by mastering the ogi of the Hiten Mitsurugi Ryu: the Amakakeru Ryu no Hirameki. Though Kenshin understands the ogi is a superpowered unsheating move, Hiko disapproves his mentality of sacrificing his life for everything and gives him a day to plan. In the night, Hiko remembers how the young child he found, Shinta, felt himself powerless for not being able to save his sister figures from thieves but still made graves for everybody. This motivated Hiko to rename Shinta into Kenshin, believing him to be suitable as a swordman. In the next day, Hiko tries to kill Kenshin with his Kuzu Ryu Sen scaring Kenshin for the first time since the Shogunate decay. However, the hallucinations he suffers of Kaoru and his friends cause him to regain the will to live and perform the Amakakeru Ryu no Hirameki on Hiko, leaving a major wound on his pleased teacher
