Musk makes a reference to ancient Egypt when he tells Peterson the training for Grok 3 was done in Memphis, Tennessee, suggesting their "new god" may emerge from there (AI) to which Peterson oddly responds: "No kidding, I wish that were funny." (July 2024)

The Rite of Memphis was one of the most extensive systems of Masonic degrees that emerged in the nineteenth century. According to the most widely accepted theory, it was originally founded by Samuel Honis, an expatriate Frenchman living in Egypt, in 1814.

Seker in Egyptian mythology, death god of the necropolis of Memphis. Later he was combined with Osiris, the god of the dead. The two were also combined with the craft god Ptah to form the god Ptah-Seker-Osiris who encompassed all phases of life including rebirth. Ptah provided new bodies in which the souls of the righteous were to live, thus symbolizing the addition of creative power (Ptah) to death (Seker and Osiris).
