2010 Scion xB - Noise and clatter from dashboard or dash subframe or front of car

I recently acquired a 2010 Scion xB with low (63.5k) miles. I've noticed some noises from the dashboard and I want to identify and mitigate the sources. One noise sounds like a squeaking at the base of the windshield (maybe from contact of the top of the dashboard to the windshield or to the a-pillar trims), and the other is more of a clatter that I can't determine the source - whether it is in the dashboard subframe or a noise from the suspension like the upper strut mounts, etc.
