“THE GREAT APOSTASY: A CONTEMPORARY VIEW”

PLAY TO WIN … THE CROWNS GO TO THE OVERCOMERS!

Remember what Paul said to Timothy in second Timothy Chapter 4 verses 3 to 7?

“For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers having itching ears, and they shall turn away their ears from the truth and shall be turned unto fables.

“But I have fought the good fight. I have finished my course. I have kept the faith.”

Fight. Finish. Keep the faith.

In 1 Corinthians 9:24-27 Paul also said,

• “Don't you realize that everyone who runs in a race runs to win, but only one runner gets the prize? Run like them, so that you can win.

• “Everyone who enters an athletic contest goes into strict training. They do it to win a temporary crown, but we do it to win one that will be permanent.

• “So I run—but not without a clear goal ahead of me. So I fight—but not as if I were just shadow boxing.

• “Rather, I toughen my body with punches and make it my slave so that I will not be disqualified after I have spread the Good News to others.”

It is time to get ready to Rule and Reign with the Lord … and we might only have seven years left to get trained and disciplined to do it powerfully and properly!

While it will be the Lord Himself that will make the final determination as to “who” will rule and “where” they will reign, let me suggest that it will really be up to each one of us as to whether or not we will even be considered “eligible” to be considered for these positions!

Matthew 22:14 tells us that, “Many are called but few are chosen”.
