Shadi's Long-Awaited Return

Shadi Fakhri Al-Barghouthi, a prisoner from the village of Kobar, north of Ramallah, was freed after 21 years of imprisonment as part of the "Toufan Al-Ahrar" prisoner exchange deal. Shadi, who was 27 years old at the time of his arrest, endured severe conditions during his long detention, including a loss of 35 kg. His release marked the first time in 48 years that he was reunited with all his family members, ending decades of separation.
