Ukraine started the war in the sense that it took steps to join the West that made it inevitable that Russia would smash it. If my GF dresses in a certain way and says certain things to me in certain situations, I'm not a monk, mate. She's going to get smashed too.

If a woman starts massaging my chest and stomach, certain things are going to happen to me and then to her. If Ukraine says it wants to join the EU and NATO, certain things are going to happen to Russia. It will become engorged with blood and then it will enter Ukraine's virgin territory and thrash around until it reaches satisfaction.

I didn't create the universe, I just explain it.

When I was less spiritual than I am today, I gave a woman a ride home from shul on motzi Shabbos. She invited me in and showed me an artistic porn movie. As a result, certain things happened. I'm the victim here. She shouldn't have started me up.
