A slice of life documentary where a Scandinavian-American (Matt) from the midwest of The United States of America visits the homeland for the first time, questioning what it is to be an American in a culturally fractured and increasingly tribal country. Meanwhile through conversations and interviews, Matt explores the personal and existential challenges faced by young Norwegian men looking for higher spiritual purpose and heroic meaning in an Americanized age. The film explores themes of Norwegian counter-culture, Americanization, civilizational history, and religion.
