AVOWED Looks Like a Flop for OBSIDIAN | Weak Player Count and Mediocre Score

The latest launch for Obsidian Entertainment, Avowed, is looking like it will be a flop judging by the concurrent player count on Steam as well as user reviews.

This has been a game that had the tell-tale signs of something that wouldn’t be that great, exemplified by the leaked Slack messages last fall that showed the team behind it were motivated more by political activism instead of producing something of quality. In the lead-up to the release one of the game’s directors, Matt Hansen, was largely quiet on social media following his anti-gamer outburst. Now it looks like that wasn’t enough to bring gamers back into the fold.
