The Blue Dahlia (1946)

Directed by George Marshall and written by Raymond Chandler. The story follows war veteran Johnny Morrison (Alan Ladd), who returns home to find his wife Helen (Doris Dowling) unfaithful and caught up in a hard-partying lifestyle. When Helen is mysteriously murdered, Johnny becomes the prime suspect and must go on the run to clear his name.
