The 2022 Supreme Court ruling in the Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization case overturned the longstanding Roe v. Wade decision that was interpreted as the constitutional right to abortion. The Dobbs decision gave states the power to regulate abortion access. Since then, Idaho has taken steps to enact more pro life protection laws.
