Meridian Idaho Library Board Meeting Wrap-Up

I attended the MLD Board meeting last night and I'm bringing you the CliffsNotes.

Idahoan's have a law that allows parents to challenge books and have them moved out of the children's section and into a more appropriate section. Find out why people may believe this is an attack on LGBTQ books. We are learning together!

The Supreme Court has weighed in on material harmful to minors and it looks like their decision has landed on the 18 page document parents are to use when requesting a reconsideration of a book. I'm not finding this verbiage in Idaho law.

Will the courts ultimately decide whether a parent's challenge will have to meet this additional requirement?
