Warthogs in Texas

Warthogs are not native to Texas, but there have been occasional reports of them in the state, likely due to private game ranches importing them for exotic hunting. Unlike feral hogs, which are an invasive species that thrive in Texas, warthogs are not widespread and do not pose the same ecological threat.
