F-1 pilot
fighter pilot ejection
A miraculous survival and an iconic lunch break.
In 1962, an F-1 pilot ejected at dangerously low altitude—a move that almost no one survives. But against all odds, he walked away with minor injuries.
Meanwhile, in 1932, Charles Ebbets captured one of the most famous photographs in history—"Lunch Atop a Skyscraper." This incredible image shows 11 fearless construction workers casually having lunch 840 feet in the air, building what would become Rockefeller Center.
Two moments frozen in time—one a miracle, the other a testament to human resilience.
