New Buyback Rumours

The Liberal government’s firearm buyback/confiscation program remains a complete mess, with new rumors surfacing about changes, delays, and potential financial shortfalls. Despite their claims that the buyback will roll out this year, sources suggest the government may be cutting back on compensation for retailers holding prohibited firearm parts—leaving businesses stuck with worthless inventory.

Even more concerning, there’s speculation that the government may circulate forms asking gun owners to pre-register their prohibited firearms—essentially creating a new long-gun registry under the guise of a future buyback. Will law-abiding gun owners be forced into a tough choice?

With a $62 billion deficit and a crumbling government, it's unclear if the Liberals can even fund their gun policies. But the good news? An election could be coming much sooner than expected, offering real hope for firearm owners.
