Born in The Hague, Netherlands in 1940, Eddy was just three months old when the Nazis invaded. By the age of three, he was deported to Westerbork concentration camp, then later to Bergen-Belsen—a place of unimaginable horror. Against all odds, Eddy and his family survived the Holocaust together and eventually immigrated to Australia in 1954.
