This is a track from Birds & Boys, our 24th album, recorded in 2012. Text and music by Wire; arrangement by Andy Martin. Although we do not usually record covers of works by other groups, every member of UNIT possesses singles and albums by Wire and this is one of a brace of covers of their works we’ve recorded during the past decade. The original track appears on Send (2002) although we dispense with their dreary drum pattern and add numerous embellishments so that’s grand.
