This is the second of a two-part Bible study. The prior devotional focused on Genesis 46. Genesis 47 chronicles the meeting between Joseph’s father, Jacob, and Pharaoh. The king of Egypt assigned Joseph’s brothers and their families to the rich pasture land of Goshen. Jacob also requested that Joseph make sure that upon his death, his body would be taken to Canaan, where he would be buried in the tomb with his father, Isaac, and his grandfather, Abraham.
