Elkinton was last seen in Pope County, Arkansas on July 12, 2017.
He lived in a cabin in the woods on White Oak Mountain Road,
Hector Ar 72843, bordering the Ozark National Forest
On the morning of July 13, 2017 at approximately 5:30 A.M., Elkinton's youngest daughter (Jaclyn) went to her father's cabin/hometo check on him as she would for a few hours just like every other day. When she arrived at her dad's cabin, she found the front door of the cabin standing wide open. Jaclyn entered and found that her dad was not anywhere that she could find.
However, his boots were right where he left always them afer taking them off in the living room area. Michael's (referred to as Mike by most) wallet, cigarettes, and an open can of beer are out on the coffee table. Mike's favorite hat hand on the wall hook there in the living room as usual, if Mike did not have it on. His dog (Mack) is also there at the cabin strange enough since they were inseperable, and either inside the cabin together, or both of them outdoors.Mike Elkinton and his dog Mack were a perfect example of man and his best friend. Mack would always jump right up on the 4-wheeler with Mike and take long rides together.
When Jaclyn searched and could not locate her father, she went into a panic. Looking every, and calling for her father got no response. As one can imagine Mike's youngest daughter Jaclyn is in a panic. While searching for her dad, she also called her older sister explaining the situation. Jennifer, Jaclyn's older sister now also in a panic calls PoPe County Arkansas 911 for assistance finding her and Jaclyn's father. This went out initially, as a welfare check on Michael R. Elkinton at 6880 White Oak Mountain Road, Hector Ar 72843. Going from officail documents that this channel has been able to obtain, this call by Jenifer Elkinton (from Topeka, Kansas) where she lived was either July 12, 2017 or july 13, 2017. There are some conflicting reports on that date MBI YT Channel is still trying to verify.
As of today February, 18, 2025 (2,778) days have come and gone
since July 12, 2017. MICHAEL R. ELKINTON, VIETNAM VETERAN,
HAS NEVER BEEN SEEN OR HEARD FROM AGAIN as of July 12, 2017.
