Different Alien Races use different shaped vehicles, some of them, like the Illiojim 'Moon-eyed' people have been using the same cylindrical ships since they fought the Dracos over what is now Nuremberg in the Mid 1500's (Aliens, both light and dark, are not renowned for their creativity, which is the one thing that seperates US from them.

Draco Ships are aggressive and look like Crocodile Teeth

Saucer Shaped vehicles are quite common and used by many aliens bad guys Maytre as well as 'good' guys like Paeladians for example

Triangle shaped vehicles are ours (Terran Human) as the saucer shape looks gay and unimpressive. The triangular shape vehicles was known to the Saurians back in 1999-2000. They are typically welded together. The Aluens however, are one solid peice. They more than likely '3D print' using a Holo-Cube as a schematic (If I were to guess).

Cloaking: The Aliens, including ourselves, are able to appear invisible by (for lack of a better description) reverse camera feed the sky above and project it underneath the craft. The technology occasionally glitches and that is why you see spaceships that look like clouds. Look for gravitation waves coming from underneath the crafts, they are similar looking to heat rising off of pavement on a hot day. At night the UFO's are easily to identify and look like 'bals' of light because their engines create light as a natural byproduct, much in the way our primitive cabal internal combustion engines release carbon monoxide.
