The Reality of Exposing False Idols

Summary - Throughout the breadth of human history, people have crafted their emblems, symbols, even whole mythologies as representations of a people's own source of creation or of power. It is a false worship that should be exposed. For some, it was a way of establishing a beginning of culture for a particular civilization, or these crafted, man made, and manufactured symbols were promoted into the status of an idol when people believed in these creations as a way of controlling their destiny apart from God. However, there is a misplaced trust within this situation, and it leads to destruction. By worshiping an idol, you aren’t worshiping the emblem that is in front of you. You are actually worshiping the hands that made it, in this case, man. The worshiping of an idol is establishing on a spiritual level that man has the equivalency as God. That is why there is a mistrust and an inherent destruction with this practice. Man does not have the ability of creator, producer, and sustainer as Almighty God.

When any leadership arises outside of the direction of God through His Son, Jesus Christ and His Holy Spirit, the results are chaos rather than security. Fear and tyranny spring forward instead of love and liberty. True stability is found only through a righteous relationship to God through His Son, Jesus Christ, not human ambition to elevate themselves through their own creations. God’s warning of this practice remains relevant even today. Any creative endeavor without the direct purpose and guidance of God and Christ will lead to its downfall, regardless of intentions. Understanding this truth will expose any false worship and will help to guide true faith in God and Christ and to genuine love, worship, and devotion. God Bless You!
