Bastrop Central Appraisal District (BCAD) **is breaking the law** by enforcing **production requirements** that are **not in the Texas Property Tax Code.** Appraisal districts **do not have the authority** to add extra burdens, conditions, or restrictions beyond what the law states—but BCAD is doing it anyway.

Anyone can file a complaint—not just those denied open-space appraisal. **If you have seen BCAD’s Agricultural Guidelines Manual and noticed production requirements, you can file a complaint stating that BCAD is illegally publishing these requirements in their official policies.**

🔹 **The TLO must investigate and report every complaint at a public Board of Directors meeting.** This means they **cannot ignore it** or silence the issue.

⚠️ BCAD’s Board has blocked me from discussing their illegal policies during public comment at meetings, but **they can’t block formal complaints from being publicly acknowledged**.

📢 **The more people who file complaints, the more pressure there is to force BCAD to follow the law.**
