Living The Power Of Praise

From our conception in 2001, the power of praise and worship was deeply ingrained into our DNA. Our first official Sunday service at this location was September 2, 2007. The first message was titled “Great Shout!” This ‘great shout’ in Hebrew is called a teruah shout. In the book of Psalms (Book of Praises) we shout to the Lord in song, praising Him. The theme for the Book of Psalms is “Communion with God in Prayer and Praise.”

Please read “Ignite The Thumb With Praise and Worship: The Prophecy of Life Song Church.”

Our name “Life Song Church” means “Living psalmists shouting praises to God.” We were created to praise and worship God. We are a tabernacle of God in the center of the Thumb.

Thanksgiving 2007: in my morning prayer time the vision of a nuclear bomb exploding in the middle of the Thumb with the mandate from God “Ignite the Thumb with Praise and Worship.”

2-19-2012: Evangelist Mike Benson brought Karen and I to the altar and prophesied over us (it was the only time he did this): “I give you fire, My fire…I light you like a torch, when you raise your voice and hands in worship, My fire will be kindled and it will burn white hot, it will be so hot the enemy will run and cower in fear…when you draw near to people they will catch fire. I will speak words to you and you will speak them to My people and I will give you unction’s of My Spirit and you will obey them and you will move in new way among My people.” Pastor Mike Benson was not aware of our mandate from God to “Ignite the Thumb with Praise and Worship.”

June 4, 2014: During my morning prayer time, I believe the Lord put on my heart; “I want Life Song Church known as ‘Living the Power of Praise.’”

Feb 22, 2020: Our first Not Ashamed Praise Rally was very powerful with the presence of God. This led to the 4 Gates of Praise being opened as we carried the Ark of God’s presence and glory to Tuscola, Lapeer, St. Clair and Huron counties. We walked through a door into the spiritual Tabernacle of David as a paradigm to the prophecy:

Acts 15:15-17 And with this the words of the prophets agree, just as it is written: 16 'After! this I will return And will rebuild the tabernacle of David, which has fallen down; I will rebuild its ruins, And I will set it up; 17 So that the rest of mankind may seek the Lord, Even all the Gentiles who are called by My name, Says the Lord who does all these things.'

Feb 22, 2025: 5-year anniversary Not Ashamed Praise Rally. WOW! The fire of God came down and blew back up into the heavens igniting the Thumb. People were on fire for God! The spiritual significance of the number 5: “Grace magnified in weakness.” Grace is given to the unworthy, for us to operate in the government of God, in His righteousness.

Spiritual Warfare: One of the highest levels of spiritual warfare is to fast and pray in preparation for a coming event. This will help prepare us spiritually. Praise, prayer and proclamations are powerful weapons. To be most effective, they need to be released with understanding and expectation of God’s power, presence and glory being released. The Lord of Host, the King of Heaven’s Army warring on our behalf against the principalities and powers of wickedness in high places.
Prayer and proclamations of Scripture empower God’s angels to tear down everything that exalts itself against the knowledge of God. Our praise opens the gates of Heaven as He is enthroned on our praise. His majesty, power, authority, and dominion are reigning over us at that very moment, establishing His Kingdom, His rule, His reign as KING OF KING AND LORD OF LORDS. This in turn fills us with His fresh oil, and His Spirit strengthening us to walk in Kingdom power.

Destroying the Darkness: Our praise, songs and instruments release a certain frequency which is powerful, destroying the darkness. The darkness is an anti-life force of hate, fear, chaos, confusion, deception, anxiety, sickness, destruction, sexual perversion and wickedness, all leading to death. The Light is a life force of the Holy Spirit bringing love, peace, joy, health, clarity, truth, purity, prosperity, strength, wisdom, hope and abundant life.

Words are powerful. Life and death are in the power of the tongue. When we sing with understanding, with faith, with a reckless abandon being not ashamed, it releases a life-changing power that not only moves in us, but can bring the glory and presence of God changing the entire atmosphere of the room.

Ps 47:1-3 Oh, clap your hands, all you peoples! Shout to God with the voice of triumph! 2 For the Lord Most High is awesome; He is a great King over all the earth. 3 He will subdue the peoples under us, And the nations under our feet.

Heb 2:11-13 For both He who sanctifies and those who are being sanctified are all of one, for which reason He is not ashamed to call them brethren, 12 saying: "I will declare Your name to My brethren; In the midst of the assembly I will sing praise to You." 13 And again: "I will put My trust in Him." And again: "Here am I and the children whom God has given Me."

WORSHIP HIM IN SPIRIT AND TRUTH!
John 4:23-24 “But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him.
Spirit: by faith our spirit comes together with God’s Holy Spirit.
