Well, it looks like the former Kingpin 2 smoke shop has really gone up in smoke, and not in the good way. It's been taken over by some unwanted guests who have turned it into their own little den of iniquity. I mean, we're talking fires burning inside, illegal activity like drug trafficking and prostitution - it's like a real-life version of a crime drama over there. And to top it off, it's right next to a Taco Bell! Not exactly the kind of neighborhood ambiance you want when you're just trying to grab a quick chalupa.
It's a shame to see another abandoned building being taken over and fall victim to neglect and misuse. Unfortunately, it seems like Wilson Way has a bit of a magnet for this kind of drama and the authorities have been alerted. Also contacted regarding this matter was city council district 5 council member Brando Villapudua.
But hey, on the bright side, maybe this will finally kickstart some urban renewal in the area. Who knows, maybe the next trendy hotspot is just waiting to rise from the ashes of the former Kingpin 2.
