Her dad Joseph Petito posted a heartbreaking tribute to his daughter on social media, writing in part, 'We can't stop crying when we think of you! Gabby was killed by her boyfriend Brian Laundrie during a cross-country trip in 2021 before he went on the run and took his own life.

You never know what someone capable of! All she wanted to do was explore the world.... Gabby deserved so much better. She had her entire life ahead of her.
