Kate Hudson Open to How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days Sequel—If It's "Totally Right"

Kate Hudson is open to reprising her role as Andie Anderson in a How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days sequel—but only if the project meets her expectations. Speaking to E! News, Hudson shared that while she loves the idea, it “would just have to be totally right.”

During the interview, Running Point producer Mindy Kaling jokingly pushed back, saying, “It can be B minus. Just do it.” However, Hudson remains firm that a sequel would require the right script and the return of Matthew McConaughey.

Hudson also speculated about where Andie Anderson would be today, stating she’d still be “wild by nature” and rocking “great outfits” and “Isadora diamonds.” Kaling added that Andie’s romance with McConaughey’s character, Ben, likely hasn’t been “smooth sailing.”

This isn’t the first time Hudson has expressed interest in a sequel. In July 2024, she told What What Happens Live that both she and McConaughey are “totally open” to revisiting the beloved rom-com, but “it has just never happened.”

For now, fans can catch Hudson in Running Point, premiering on Netflix on Feb. 27.
