Every single year, I have the same question! What is this growth that grows on my angraecum spikes. This additional growth on my angraecum spikes happens every time my orchid blooms. It looks like a bud that blasted, but after 5 years of watching my angraecums bloom, no matter the light levels, every spike only shows one of these and I am just super curious as to what is that structure there for? Does it serve a purpose? If so, what purpose does this structure serve? I am unable to find the information, even though I have tried and tried to research angraecum spikes on google!
