👉 In Esperanto, there is only one article: “la.” It is used for all nouns, singular or plural. For example, “la kato” means “the cat,” and “la katoj” means “the cats.” Unlike English, Esperanto does not use “a” or “an,” so “kato” alone means “a cat.” This makes Esperanto nouns simple and easy to learn!
