Toxic Girlfriend Snaps When the Police Don't Take Her Side

On a hot evening, Florida Highway Dispatch received several 911 calls reporting a female in traffic yelling at drivers to call the police. She was trying to get away from her boyfriend who was sitting on the ground a few feet away from her. The male even offered his jacket to his intoxicated girlfriend in a gentlemanly gesture. Is this real romance or a planned act to look nice in front of the officers? The female’s erratic behaviour got her detained and looking at her mental being the officers wanted to enforce the marchman act which is a Florida law that provides a way to assess, stabilise, and treat people who are abusing alcohol or drugs. The officers also agreed to give her boyfriend a ride to Safe Harbor on the condition that he doesn't speak to the female throughout the way. The female was charged with resisting arrest without violence.
