Do You Hate Truth Too? | Facing East - Thu. Feb. 27, 2025

Today’s Readings:
Epistle: St. Jude's First Universal Letter 1:11-25
Gospel: Luke 23:1-31, 33, 44-56

"Truth on Trial: Why the World Rejects Righteousness"

St. Jude warns us about those who distort the faith for their own gain—people who claim to follow God but twist truth to serve their own desires. Meanwhile, the Gospel reading presents the ultimate rejection of truth: the trial and crucifixion of Christ. Though innocent, Jesus is condemned while the guilty go free. The people who claimed to seek righteousness hated the very embodiment of it.

The uncomfortable reality? This isn’t just history—it happens today. The world still despises truth, and if we’re not careful, we can be just as guilty of rejecting it when it challenges us.
